The AI Response feature responds to queries with “well-formed” answers synthesized from large Mistral 8x7B and Mistral 7B language models, custom semantic data mapping models, and search-indexed data.
“Reply with AI” provides the user with important answers about any event, object and general information related to a particular institution. This feature is available to users all over the world.
The developers explained that the current update is a major step forward in the development of the AI search response engine, which was first announced in March 2023. Simple questions like “Which actors played Batman” will be answered automatically; For other replies, users will be able to manually enable the “Reply with AI” feature.
“The user only needs to enter one query as he/she is used to in a regular search engine. The query will then be converted internally into an LLM clue, typically by RAG (retrieval augmented generation), using data from the search results as the clue context,” said Josep Pujol, head of Brave search.
