The volume of public procurement in Russia in the first quarter of 2024 increased by 7% compared to the same period last year. This was announced by the Ministry of Finance on its Telegram channel.

According to department data, in January-March 2024 the number of contracts concluded increased by 4.6%, up to 944.9 thousand.
The number of participants acting as freelancers increased by 53%. The number of government purchases from a single supplier in electronic format has increased 85-fold.
In early April, the director of the SME, Alexander Isaevich, reported that the total volume of purchases of companies with state participation from freelancers at the end of the first quarter of 2024 multiplied by 160%, up to 2.2 billion rubles in monetary volume.
