The Russian Ministry of Health recommended that manufacturers of drugs containing ibuprofen change the instructions and add new information about the risks of diseases. This was clear from the department’s letter published in the state drug registry.
In line with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health, information regarding possible serious skin reactions when using ibuprofen needs to be updated. This includes conditions such as exfoliative dermatitis and Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
Additionally, the risks of developing Kounis Syndrome in systemic use of the drug were determined. The Ministry of Health recommends that these factors be taken into account when preparing instructions for medicines containing ibuprofen.
