Association members proposed creating a technological infrastructure to securely process and combine data using cryptography and other security measures. As planned, data will be provided by vendors who will be identified in preparation for the pilot.

The experiment will help assess the risks of anonymizing data used for various types of calculations and develop security requirements for trusted intermediaries that can perform calculations, a DBA representative explained.

At the same time, a publication source in the IT industry warned that the very idea of collecting a large amount of data in a third-party system increases the risk of data leaks.

Previously, the presidential administration did not approve amendments to the second reading of the bill on fines for leaks of personal data. The amendments provided for mitigation of sanctions for companies subject to certain conditions.

Representatives of large companies and specialized associations hope that extenuating circumstances will be included in the final version of the bill.
