Since 2019, active work has been underway in this direction, the department noted. According to Deputy Minister of Economic Development Maxim Kolesnikov, significant results were achieved. He noted that since 2022, the level of implementation of AI technology in industries has increased by 1.5 times.

“This was largely possible because we have leading companies in the field of AI, strong personnel, a rapidly developing scientific school and a high level of basic education in physics and mathematics,” he says.

Technological progress can be achieved through the implementation of the national strategy for the development of artificial intelligence until 2030, approved by the Head of State. Ten key indicators that must be achieved at this time will lead to GDP growth of 11.2 trillion rubles thanks to the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies and products based on them. It is also noted that approximately 80% of workers in various sectors of the economy must be able to work with AI.

We previously wrote that in Kazakhstan a committee was created under the local Ministry of Digital Development that will deal with the development of artificial intelligence.
