First, it asks whether publishers should disclose their use of AI both verbally during advertising and in writing in political advertising dossiers. Second, it clarifies that the rules will apply to both candidate political ads and issue-specific ads.

Third, the FCC seeks comment on how to define “artificial intelligence-generated content” for disclosure purposes. Finally, the proposal aims to ensure that not only broadcasters but also external organizations such as cable operators and radio providers are held accountable for compliance with potential disclosure requirements.
