One of the changes discussed was reversing the Apple logo on the back of the iPad.

Currently, the Apple logo on the iPad is oriented vertically, which corresponds to the traditional portrait mode of the device.

However, many users often use the iPad in landscape mode with the keyboard connected, which makes the logo appear sideways.

In the new iPad Pro and iPad Air models, Apple has moved the front camera to the longer side, so that it is at the top when used in landscape mode.

Apple product designer Molly Anderson said the company is considering changing the logo orientation to horizontal on future iPad models.

“I think that could change,” Anderson told Numerama. “We’re thinking about it. The iPad has been used in portrait mode for a long time, but we’re increasingly using it in landscape mode.”

On the software side, starting with iPadOS 14.5, Apple started showing the logo in landscape orientation when the iPad is turned on. This change may be extended to the hardware of devices in future models.
