The Sbera and Tinkoff project is being tested by the bank’s employees; Until the end of this summer, this feature will appear in more than 100 thousand customers. The companies assured that participation in the project is only possible with the consent of the client and at his request.

In the future, banks aim to offer customers the opportunity to analyze their income and expenses in a single application. In addition, they want to expand the project to other products and corporate clients in the future.

VTB and Alfa Bank are testing a similar project. Its participants build the architecture of the data storage and transmission system to ensure 100% data protection during exchange. In October, focus group participants from both banks will be able to receive mutual information about their accounts and debit cards, as well as view their transaction history. A complete transition to open interfaces in the financial sector is planned from 2026, VTB noted.

In the financial sector, Open APIs are open interfaces through which third-party services interact with the bank’s system and exchange data with it. Only those organizations that have passed the technical verification of their software for compliance with the standards of the Central Bank and have become reliable participants in the environment of open banking interfaces will be able to switch to Open Banking.
