This feature will be available through the new RTX Video SDK, which developers can now use to implement AI-powered improvements to their applications.

The technology improves video quality by upscaling, increasing clarity, reducing compression artifacts, and converting standard dynamic range (SDR) to high dynamic range (HDR).

It was previously supported in Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox browsers. NVIDIA is now expanding its support to video editors like Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve and Wondershare Filmora.

This update for VLC will add AI video enhancement and HDR support, allowing users to upscale videos to 4K resolution and convert SDR content to HDR.

Thus, the majority of PC users will have access to advanced video processing capabilities thanks to the integration of this advanced technology from NVIDIA.
