41% of IT company directors in Russia began to pay more attention to the “flexible” or “soft” skills of developers. This conclusion was reached by specialists from the ITQuick company and the results were learned by the Zarplaty.ru RB.RU research center.

30% of respondents in 2024 began to tighten work experience requirements among candidates. Almost the same number noted a decrease in the number of vacancies and increased competition in the market.
Managers consider the most important soft skills for the successful work of a developer to be: flexibility and the ability to adapt to changes, the ability to solve problems and make decisions effectively, teamwork, and empathy.
Executives also suggested that demand for specialists in machine learning, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity will grow in the future. At the same time, 40% of managers believe that the importance of soft skills will prevail over technical ones.
