According to Kaspersky Lab research, only 20% of companies with distributed networks and branches in Russia have all their divisions protected. In 2023, malicious objects attacked 34.3% of control system computers, which shows that cyber threats are becoming more sophisticated and targeted. At the INNOPROM-2024 exhibition, Kaspersky Lab presented a new solution for creating and protecting distributed industrial networks: Kaspersky SD-WAN and Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity (KICS). They provide protection for industrial facilities with unstable network channels or distributed control systems.

Kaspersky SD-WAN is a technology for creating fault-tolerant distributed networks with centralized management. It ensures secure network separation and stable operation in unstable connection conditions, ensuring continuity of production processes and efficient traffic management. The solution uses wireless communication channels and compact portable devices, which is especially important for remote and hard-to-reach industrial areas. Zero Touch Provisioning technology simplifies the process of connecting new objects by automatically configuring network devices.

Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity is a certified platform for protecting industrial facilities. It includes KICS for Nodes and KICS for Networks. The first component is designed to protect workstations and ICS servers based on various operating systems, including Windows and Linux, and performs the functions of a system sensor. KICS for Networks is the platform server that provides asset management and vulnerability detection, as well as network anomaly and threat detection. This is especially important for the protection of programmable controllers and industrial routers. The combination of these components provides a complete security audit of industrial automation systems.
