Preparing the device
Before installing a new one important make a backup copy of your iPhone. This is necessary in case something goes wrong during the installation, or you decide to abandon iOS 17 for some reason.
In fact it is
1. Go to the menu Settings —> Apple ID —> iCloud —> Backup.
2. Turn on the toggle switch iCloud Backup and wait for the end.
Via iTunes
1. Connect your iPhone to your computer via cable and open iTunes.
2. Go to the top of the section with your iPhone.
3. In the subsection Automatic creation of copies we choose This computer.
4. Click Create a copy now and wait for the backup copy to be created.

How to Install iOS 18 Public beta 1
The time for installing iOS 18 Public beta 1 on iPhone has been set. Let’s go.
1. We go to the Apple beta testing site.
2. Click Register and enter your Apple ID data.
3. Open iOS settings —> menu Main -> Software Updates -> Beta Updates.
4. Select iOS 18 Public beta, go back to the updates section and download the firmware.
That’s it. All that’s left is to wait for the download and installation to complete.
