The vast majority of foot prostheses are either completely rigid or have limited mobility. The SoftFoot Pro prototype, developed by a group of engineers at the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT), reduces these disadvantages to a minimum. It can weigh 450 grams and weighs 100 kg. It does not fit into a pit.

SoftFoot Pro supports only five segments made of high-quality plastic, such as one with each other. The artificial foot consists of two groups of segments – the front and the back. The front segments perform the function of the phalanges of the toes, and the back segments – the metatarsal bone. The segments of each chain are connected to a static cable, which is attached to the preparatory connection.

Special casings and systems are equipped with titanium tanks of the mechanism, one of which is connected to the shoulder blades of the phalanges, and the other to the fifth. This design does not allow the legs to move and the arch of the foot is light.

Soft foot. And if you do this, you can take this energy off the foot, i.e. before the step. The last part of the construction is active at 10-50%.
