Announced at Google I/O earlier this year, Imagen 3 recently became generally available in the US via the Vertex AI platform. The update allows users to create detailed images based on text queries and make specific edits by highlighting and explaining changes.

It includes measures to prevent the creation of images featuring public figures, weapons, or copyrighted characters, although users have already found ways to bypass these restrictions.
