VkusVill has launched a collection of recyclable materials with delivery. The company’s clients can hand over the accumulated fractions (5PP and waste paper) to the courier who brought the order from their store. For now, this service is available in Moscow and the Moscow region, the company’s press service told RB.RU about this.

To check whether the address is within the service area, you can go to the company’s mobile app or website. While 56 of the brand’s dark stores are responsible for the collection, the project will be expanded later.
All you need to do to receive such a service is to order free delivery of VkusVilla products and at this stage add the service of removal of recyclable materials to the cart, which will cost 90 rubles. By the way, couriers receive an additional payment for such an order.
“Before delivering recyclable materials, it is necessary to make sure that the fractions are clean and dry. Having received an order with products from the courier, it is necessary to hand over to him the accumulated clean and dry containers and/or waste paper: no more than two bags of recyclable materials (one bag with 5PP and one with waste paper). This helps to control the courier’s workload,” the company’s press service reported.
After this, the courier takes the recyclable materials to the dark warehouse. There it is prepared for recycling, which is the responsibility of a company that processes hard and soft plastics. The “famous” caps from the “Good Caps” project are also taken there. The waste paper is transferred to Vtorproekt, which has been working with the company for a long time on the project to transfer the accumulated waste paper to dark warehouses.
The goal of the VkusVill project is to involve customers in an environmentally friendly lifestyle. That is why they want to make it easier for customers to hand over recyclable materials to collection points. Previously, customers often said that there was a lot of plastic left over from products, for example from the kitchen, so the company came up with this idea.
On July 31, VkusVill reported that it had introduced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in its dark stores to recognize defects in fruits and vegetables.
