The middle of the year, as expected, brought us a couple of interesting transport promotions on the Mir cards. One is something new in the already familiar training ground, that is, in the Moscow metro. I wasn’t expecting anything original here, but to be honest, I was surprised in a good way. However, we will postpone this topic for another time; I still need to check something in the implementation. As for the second action, it also affects Moscow. But the Moscow region too. As well as the Bryansk, Vladimir, Kaluga, Kursk Ryazan, Smolensk, Tver and Tula regions. Overall, this is not, so to speak, the most global transport action in the history of Hello, World!

On the other hand, it’s hard to be any different: subways all over the world are piece goods, bus companies are usually regional, and the railway… It’s the railway. How chigunki
they appeared and have become one of the connecting elements between countries, and even between entire macro-regions. It is true that the organization of transport on the basis of a single railway infrastructure or not very can be different; that is why the list of regions is large, but limited. This is the testing ground of AO TsPPK, the largest suburban passenger company in Russia. The largest, however, is mainly due to the Moscow region with a population on the level of many countries (and with a corresponding scale of suburban passenger traffic), but that is what it is. Moreover, only in Moscow and the region, the current action will not be of interest to all passengers. Maybe that’s why it appeared just now, and not before. Although these are already conspiracy theories, so for now we will put it aside.

The very essence of the action is simple and uncomplicated: in the period from June 15 to October 15, pay for a ticket with a Mir card and get a 10% refund. The same day, without even waiting for the complete operation (which the company explicitly says). In addition, the action is clearly aimed at lovers of modern technologies and citizens weaned from queues at the cash register; the latter do not participate in it. Here is a ticket machine or app on the phone please. Simple, beautiful, profitable – up to 10%, which can be summed up by bank reimbursement. But in fact, not everything is so simple: what will have to be taken into account.

This same 10% in its pure form will be obtained only when an economy ticket is purchased. Because there are maximum limits: with a check amount of less than 1200 rubles, no more than 20 rubles are paid, and with a larger one – no more than 100 rubles. But you won’t “earn” much on one-time trips, but something more complicated will instantly run into limits. For example, a ticket for 20 trips on the Aprelevka-Vnukovo route (not abstract, my wife sometimes goes to work like this :)) costs 990 rubles, and only 20 of this will be returned, so the declared 10% will be converted. at 2% with a little. Of course, you can buy two tickets for 10 trips, but this is twice to buy (which is less convenient), and anyway let’s squeeze
only up to 4%. So the only way to get the most is to buy tickets individually. It would seem that. But no: 20 tickets for 54 rubles each are 1080 rubles, 108 rubles will return, i.e. all costs will amount to 972 rubles, and a ticket for 20 rides costs 990. Minus 20 rubles discount – opachki! – 970.

In general, with regular use, the system still cannot be cheated. If you use single bills. Travel cards are a bit more interesting, but this is not guaranteed by 10%, as they all go over the lower limit. And it’s a pity when they do not reach the top a little: at my address, this is, for example, a weekend ticket from the station to Lesnoy Gorodok, Kokoshkin or Sanin. The places are summer cottages, so such subscriptions are in great demand in the summer, and they cost 1125 rubles a month, which means 20 rubles in reimbursement. But if you buy a subscription to Krekshin, there will already be a refund of 100 rubles (up to five times more!), But the ticket costs 1325, so there is no point.

In short, you can’t cheat the system here either. Therefore, it is easier to assume that an ordinary single trip will give 10-20 rubles, and a subscription – either 20 or (more often) 100 rubles. Also money, of course, but not 10% of what was spent. And in general, the limits, in my opinion, are poorly thought out in terms of combining with the current tariffs. Since it is more profitable for me to buy two separate tickets from Aprelevka to Moscow, or to the dacha, instead of one round trip ticket. A single one goes into the limit (135 or 164.6 rubles, respectively), but a “double” one does not give an additional discount and you will not get the maximum refund. Naturally, there are no bad guys who run into the machine twice, so this can, perhaps, be considered a method of popularizing a mobile app. Or I think too highly of developers 🙂

Since in a good way it is necessary to first finish the application and then attract citizens. The most popular complaint about the native CPPK app is that bank card details are not saved, so they have to be re-entered each time. And the funny thing is that the developer is aware of something, only for now it is limited to a warning and does not solve the problem. And when he gets down to work, there are no forecasts.

Well, now, in principle, I don’t have to go to the station. They built the Aminyevskaya station with a transfer to the big ring, the fare is 81 rubles (much cheaper than to the Kievsky railway station), “round trip”, respectively, 162 rubles – you can conveniently buy it on an application or machine and with the maximum cashback. There are reasons to rejoice. And for the same conspiracy theories, too. Since the transport system in Moscow is constantly developing, and such gifts are not only obtained. Aminevskaya, for example, was built as part of the MCD project, and the first two diameters have already been launched without construction. And often there is no point in buying a separate train ticket for them – it is better to pay with Troika. Since, for example, a ticket from Odintsovo to Slavyansky Boulevard costs 27 rubles, but does not offer a free transfer to the metro, so you have to go further for some money (if you need to use the metro). And according to the Troika, 56 rubles, but then go even to Nekrasovka without additional payment. And with stations that go beyond the formal boundaries of the MCD, it’s the same: from Zhavoronkov to the same Slavyansky Boulevard 81 rubles, but that’s it – 110 rubles through the Troika, and then free on the metro. Moreover, the same 110 rubles will go to the Belorussky railway station (against the “single direct” ticket for 135 rubles), Timiryazevskaya (and here the ticket from the CPPK costs 189 rubles in general), yes, even to Lobnya, but instead from 270 rubles. The situation is similar for the second dimension. So, in this system, you can travel with CPPC tickets, but only if you need to travel a short distance and not change to any other transportation. Most passengers need something different. Even more so for most regular passengers – the surcharge for the suburban area on unlimited travel cards does not exceed 500 rubles per month, and on an electric train at current rates you can sometimes travel as much in a week.

In general, most passengers on the Odintsovo-Lobnya and Nakhabino-Podolsk lines will not be interested in the promotion, although they can take advantage of it. And those who live in the direction of Leningrad can not even use it. Since it is not served by the CPPK, but by the MTPPC, with its own ticket system and not taking part in this action at all. Something to remember. Although, to be honest, if I had organized this attraction, I would have tried to coordinate the actions of both carriers. Since they can’t agree from the start, the NSPK should have done it somehow. Since you can end up lumpy, well, it’s not obvious to many. Muscovites and guests of the capital. the difference between Moscow trains from different directions. Which historically stems from the fact that the very Leningrad address was originally not Moscow, but the Oktyabrskaya railway based already in St. Petersburg, but the passenger is not obliged to go into such details. You have to put things in order here. Especially, at least, when carrying out actions. By the way, in the Russian Railways – Passengers application, you can buy a ticket for an electric train of any direction. And get a refund according to the terms of the promotion, but only on routes served by CPPK. And what kind of Zelenograd – you can do it there, but already without a refund.

What’s the score? As usual, there was no mess. And just because this mess is inherited, and not action-related, doesn’t mean it’s entirely reassuring. It was necessary to put things in order with the directorates and operators for a long time, but it is very likely that we will wait for this in a more or less sensible way not before the third diameter is launched, and the Troika will come to the Leningrad Directorate. But this one will not be soon, and the actions there will be different. As for the current one, I didn’t really like the scam with the size of the refund. He even stated: let there be limits, but 100 rubles out of 1200 rubles is also clearly not 10%. They could have written at least 120 for the order, a little, but more correct. And it’s bad that the link is actually not to the cost of the ticket, but to the size of the check, although this is clearly stated, and not somewhere in fine print, but the potential size of the refund is reduced. On the other hand, if you don’t need free cheese
too much is fine. You don’t need to make any special gestures, just buy a ticket in the usual way (unless, of course, it’s from a live cashier). Just pay not in cash or with any Visa/MasterCard, but with a Mir card. And only get a dozen or two (or even a hundred, when buying a travel card) rubles. In general, it is fine. But it could be better.
