This decision was made due to Apple’s hearing aid feature, which is approved as the first over-the-counter software for people with hearing impairments.

The FDA filing states that the device can amplify sounds, which is helpful for people with mild to moderate hearing loss. In fact, as the publication notes, this is one more step toward making hearing aids more accessible to those with hearing problems.

Apple’s wireless headphones cost around $250 (about 23 thousand rubles) in the United States. The hearing aid function, introduced on September 9 during the announcement of the new line of devices, will be added to the AirPods Pro 2 firmware by the end of 2024.

Apple’s new fourth-generation wireless earbuds have a new design. The shape of the earbuds has been modified to fit better in the ears, and the body has become slimmer. They were equipped with an updated acoustic architecture, improved speakers, and an Apple H2 processor. If you use the case to recharge them, the device’s battery life will be about 30 hours.
