“Binance seems to be doing well without me, which is great. “Every founder’s dream!” Zhao wrote on his X account.

The businessman said he will continue investing in blockchain and other decentralized technologies, as well as biotechnology and artificial intelligence.

Additionally, Zhao plans to dedicate more time to charity and education. The Binance founder emphasized that the Giggle Academy platform, which offers free courses for schoolchildren, “will play an important role in their lives for years to come.”

The billionaire noted that his online school “is going well.” At the same time, in April, information appeared on Giggle Academy’s X account about the platform’s imminent beta test launch, which has not been updated since.

Finally, the businessman will continue working on his book, which he estimates is “about two thirds” ready.

According to the Bloomberg Index, Zhao’s net worth was $30.8 billion as of January 2024.

The former CEO of the largest crypto exchange left his position in November last year as part of a settlement with US authorities. Despite this, Zhao was sentenced to four months in prison in May this year.

The businessman pleaded guilty and agreed to pay a fine of $50 million in the case of violation of the Bank Secrecy Act, money laundering and assistance to evade sanctions.
