ABBYY has carried out a massive layoff of Russian employees from its offices in Cyprus, Hungary and Serbia. The dismissed workers themselves told X about this.

It is not known exactly which person was fired. According to some estimates, we are talking about a more expensive person. The reasons for the presentation are unknown, but the workers themselves say that only holders of Russian passports were laid off.

The situation is aggravated by the fact that many of the dismissed employees previously worked in the Russian office. In October 2022, ABBYY announced the closure of its Russian representative office, the bulk of whose employees are now located in Cyprus, Serbia and Hungary.

ABBYY was founded in 1989 in Moscow, but the company’s headquarters were in the USA. It also has offices in many other countries. The company develops products for working with documents.
