These devices are intended for the treatment of drug-resistant epilepsy, which affects up to 30% of all epilepsy patients (about 50 million people worldwide), Motorika noted.
The certificates received allow Motorika Nemo LLC (part of the Motorika group) to sell Rishena’s VNS201B implantable stimulator, electrode and programmers on the Russian market. A special feature of the device is the presence of two programmers: for the doctor and the patient, which allow you to remotely change parameters such as pulse amplitude, width and frequency.
Rishena, founded in 2010, specializes in active implantable medical devices and has more than 100 patents, Motorika reported.
In September, Motorika presented the first prosthetic legs in its line. They are foot modules designed for people with partial ankle or complete foot amputation, preserving the soft tissue in the heel area.
