Now the Supreme State Council of the Union State must prepare a draft decision according to which subscribers in Russia and Belarus will be able to use communication services during their trips at prices comparable to home network tariffs, the prime minister said. from Belarus, Roman Golovchenko.
According to him, subscribers will receive “at least 300 minutes of free incoming voice calls and at least 5 GB of data per month.” In this way, users will be able to reduce costs and communicate more often with each other, the Prime Minister stressed.
The Russian and Belarusian authorities have been talking about the abolition of roaming on the territory of the Union State for several years. In 2013, the Eurasian Economic Commission announced that it would conduct an analysis of the work of mobile operators in Russia and Belarus, based on the results of which a decision could be made to abolish roaming.
In 2018, the Ministries of Communications of both countries discussed a “roadmap” for the abolition of roaming. In 2021, Moscow and Minsk agreed to create common principles for the communications market on the territory of the Union State.
