Microsoft 365 Personal and Family users will now have access to AI in Office apps, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, without having to purchase an expensive Copilot Pro subscription.

For Microsoft 365 Family users, features are limited to the primary account and each subscription will include a limited number of AI Credits to be used in applications.

Users who need more resources can upgrade to a Copilot Pro subscription.

However, these innovations are accompanied by an increase in subscription costs. For example, in Australia the price increased from AU$139 to AU$179. At the same time, the Microsoft 365 Classic option will be offered at old prices for those who are not interested in AI features.

The price increase and Copilot features are expected to roll out in other regions soon, including the US and Europe, as Microsoft expands its AI capabilities globally.
