MTS Link hopes that the agreement will strengthen integration with video conferencing hardware solutions, which is necessary for companies working with critical information infrastructure (CII) and high data protection requirements. On September 1, 2023, rules prohibiting companies in the CII category from using “untrusted” software and hardware systems came into force in Russia.

Vinteo has representative offices and a network of partners in Russia and Kazakhstan, as well as equipment production located in the Krasnodar Territory, according to information on the company’s official website. According to SPARK-Interfax, before the transaction, 34.35% of Vinteo LLC belonged to the director of the company Roman Samoilov, 32.83% each belonged to Dmitry Sery and Alexey Livikin, writes Kommersant.

Anna Avakimyan, chief financial analyst at Regblok, highlighted Vinteo’s moderate debt load and good growth rates, estimating the company’s value at 330-440 million rubles and the controlling stake at 166-222 million rubles.

According to Rustem Khairetdinov, deputy general director of the Garda group of companies, the video conferencing market for local solutions is already close to saturation. Most large companies prefer to have internal servers for video conferencing and some are developing their own systems, such as Sber Jazz, Khairetdinov added.
