China’s Baidu introduced imaging technology, an AI programming tool and smart glasses with an integrated AI assistant. The presentation took place during the Baidu World Conference in Shanghai, Reuters reports.

The generation technology is called I-RAG and allows you to create images based on the user’s text request. Baidu clarified that they have “virtually eliminated” hallucinations in AI (the creation of unnecessary elements during generation).

The Chinese company also created a tool called Miaoda, which allows you to write code and develop applications without knowledge of programming languages.

In addition, Baidu introduced glasses with built-in artificial intelligence assistant Ernie. The device is equipped with cameras for taking photos and recording videos and supports voice interaction.

It is not specified when the new products presented will be launched.

In early November, Bloomberg reported on the Chinese company’s plans to launch AI smart glasses. According to the agency, Baidu’s device should compete with Meta*’s Ray-Ban glasses, which will be launched in 2023.

In August 2023, Baidu made its AI-powered chatbot Ernie Bot available to users. Knows how to answer questions, generate content and summarize information. On November 12, the company said that Ernie Bot processes more than 1.5 billion requests per day.
