According to leaks in the latest version of Google Play services, Protected Email will help users create unique random addresses that will forward emails to their main inbox. This feature aims to protect against online tracking and data leaks, as it allows you not to reveal your real address when creating a new account.
At the same time, users will be able to disable message forwarding at any time if spam starts. The settings will likely be accessible through the Google Account as well as the Android app, providing an additional level of control.
This feature will be integrated with Google Password Manager, making it easier to use. However, it is not yet clear whether Protected Email will be free or part of Google’s paid services such as Google One.
