The media writes that currently HarmonyOS includes more than 15,000 applications, which is “enough to meet basic consumer needs.” However, Huawei President Xu Zhijun emphasized the need to create “more personalized and high-quality applications” to improve the platform. Speaking at the conference, Xu said: “100,000 applications is a milestone… an important target for the next six to 12 months.”

HarmonyOS, launched in 2019 after US trade restrictions cut off access to Google’s Android, has become a key part of Huawei’s strategy. The company encourages developers, government agencies, and businesses to “embrace the system” and contribute to its development.
