Apple has ordered TSMC to produce M5 processors for future devices. It is expected that the M5 will be made using an improved 3nm process technology and will heat up less.
The production of chips could begin in the second half of 2025, and the first device will appear only by the end of next year. The first M5 launches are the iPad Pro and MacBook Pro, with processors and other Apple products launching in 2026.
