The French group “SEB-Vostok” (Tefal, Rowenta, Krups brands) notified its partners that from January 1, 2025, the cost of products will increase on average by 10% due to the increase in component prices , logistics and working capital. Turkish home appliances IPH (Beko, Indesit, Grundig brands) also announced an increase in product prices starting December 2, but did not reveal specific figures.
Kuppersberg will increase the price by 10% starting December 2, and Vard (formerly Electrolux in Russia) plans to increase the price in two stages: in December and January.
Company representatives indicate the official exchange rate of the Central Bank, exchange rate fluctuations and logistics costs as reasons.
According to Marvel Distribution, for the nine months of 2024, the average prices for household appliances have already increased: washing machines have increased in price by 4% (up to 31 thousand rubles), refrigerators – by 6% (up to 39 thousand rubles ). , dishwasher – also by 6% (up to 34 thousand rubles).
According to Kommersant’s interlocutor, many distributors and retailers are already reducing costs. If the situation does not improve, in spring 2025 some companies could leave the consumer electronics market or significantly reduce their volumes of activity. Vard CEO Alexey Belyakov added that there is already a shortage of some brands of household appliances on the market due to difficulties with loans and payments.
In October, experts warned of a 10-15% increase in laptop prices for the New Year. Among the reasons for the increase in prices are the increase in quotes of currencies in which Russian importers pay their foreign counterparts, the increase in prices for components on the world market, as well as difficulties with payments and international logistics.
