It was later revealed that the cause of the accident was a malfunction in the nozzle neck of the second stage of the Zefiro 40. Now the rocket launch is planned for December 4, although it was originally planned for December 3. The postponement of the launch is due to the need to implement “additional preventive checks and measures.”

“If we see something we are not completely satisfied with, we are happy to intervene and carry out additional checks,” said Giulio Ranzo, CEO of Arianespace partner Italian company Avio.
