These robots offer to win a “discount” or “prize,” for example by “spinning the wheel.” After activating the bot and receiving the “prize,” the user is asked to enter personal data to receive the “prize.” This could be information to log into your personal account on the marketplace or your bank card details, Wildberries explained.

They added that during large-scale sales like Black Friday, scammers become especially active. “Always check the promotions on our official website or app. Remember that real market services will never ask you for passwords or bank card details,” said Igor Somov, director of the Trust and Security market.

Wildberries also shared the “Guide to Safe Online Shopping”, compiled by experts from the company and Roskachestvo. The instructions describe how to recognize phishing attacks and protect your data and money.

Previously, Kommersant, citing data from the cybersecurity integrator Informzashchita, reported that in 2024 the number of phishing sites speculating on the Black Friday theme increased to 7-8 thousand, against 2.2 thousand in 2023.
