According to him, the NtechLab algorithm is integrated into the “Third Opinion” online medical image analysis platform, which has been operating in pilot mode since October 2024. In total, “Third Opinion” brings together 13 artificial intelligence services that help doctors diagnose pathologies of the chest, spine, bones, joints, skull, brain, breast and skin. In addition to NtechLab, developers include Oxygen Technologies, ScanDerm Pro, Art Vision and imVision.
The medical address of NtechLab appeared in 2022. Before this, the company, founded in 2015, developed facial recognition technology and launched the FindFace service, which made it possible to find people on the VKontakte social network through their photographs. The developer closed the project in June 2018.
In 2017, NtechLab agreed to connect its software to the city of Moscow’s video surveillance system. In 2020, the system was launched in ten more large cities in Russia. The Moscow mayor’s office paid NtechLab at least $3.2 million for the use of its technology on several tens of thousands of cameras located throughout the city.
In March 2023, NtechLab founders Alexander Kabakov and Artem Kukharenko told Reuters they left the company due to disagreements with investors and senior managers. They said they wanted to stop working in Russia and relocate employees, but management objected.
