Branches appeared in Saransk, Tver, Syzran, Novomoskovsk in the Tula region, Nalchik, Cherepovets, Orel and Rostov-on-Don, RB.RU learned. Its registration continued during October-November 2024.

Previously, Algoritmika and its structures did not have their own branches, as can be seen from the materials of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. In November, Algoresheniya, a 100% subsidiary of Algoritmika LLC, received a license for additional education of children and adults from Rosobrnadzor.

The company did not respond to RB.RU’s request.

Algoritmika’s website states that it operates as a franchise in 230 Russian cities (of which 180 are small cities with a population of up to 250 thousand people), the company has 600 thousand partners.

From the school materials it follows that it is developing mainly at the expense of small towns. For example, according to the results of October, Vladivostok, Blagoveshchensk, Taganrog were in the lead in terms of the increase in the number of students, and in terms of the total number of students, the leaders were Solnechnogorsk, Vyborg and Kirovsky district. from Yekaterinburg.

At the same time, Moscow, the Moscow region, St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region and Russian cities with a population of more than 100 thousand people are considered territories free of development. At the time of project launch, franchisees receive government support, including regional authorities. Since December 2024, Algoritmika has launched a franchise test drive with no balloon payment in any available city or district.

  • In October, Forbes, citing sources, reported that Sber bought the Russian part of the Algorithmics programming school. The school’s founder, Andrei Lobanov, intended to focus on international business development. Lobanov confirmed to the publication that he had sold the Russian part of his business, but said the acquirer was a private investor.
  • According to Algorithmika’s own data, it developed an online platform on which 148 thousand children study, opened 220 offline schools in Russia using the franchise and Saas model, and launched 9 campuses in the largest cities of the country.

The founder of the international programming and design school for children and teenagers, Coddy Oksana Selendeeva, believes that opening its own branches for expansion is an interesting and strategically sound step that complements its already well-established franchise model.

According to Selendeyeva, the franchise model is a tool that allows you to scale at a relatively low cost, simultaneously helping you maintain control over quality standards and quickly expand your presence. But the opening of its own branches demonstrates Algoritmika’s desire to strengthen control over the quality of educational services, Selendeeva believes.

“Having its own branches allows the company to directly manage all aspects of its work, which helps strengthen customer confidence and helps to clearly establish training standards,” Selendeeva said.

Furthermore, the use of a subsidiary, the Algoresheniya company, is strategically beneficial.

“This appears to allow Algoritmika” to speed up the process of launching new branches while minimizing the administrative and operational costs associated with large-scale expansion. This approach shows that Algorithmika not only follows trends, but also actively shapes them, strengthening its presence in those regions where the demand for high-quality IT education is growing,” considers the expert.

According to the expert, the steps taken by Algoritmika mean even more for the market. Online education is becoming increasingly competitive and big players like Algorithmika set the bar high.
