In the Sirius federal district, the first system in Russia was launched that automatically registers violations of electric scooter drivers using artificial intelligence. This project was jointly launched by kick sharing service MTS Yurent, digital space operator Tsifra.FT and AI solutions developer Videofor-Yug. The company said the system analyzes video camera data to detect violations such as using the electric scooter in restricted areas or improper parking.
The system automatically transmits information about the place and time of the violation to the MTS Urent service. The user who violates the rules receives a warning through the application. The cameras record typical violations: driving on pedestrian crossings, driving on the road without permission, traveling together on the same scooter and parking in the wrong places. This allows kick-sharing services to quickly eliminate clutter and maintain order on the streets.
According to the developers, the system works at full capacity and shows high efficiency. The company said more than 90% of users complied with the rules after the first warning, which not only makes scooter use easier but also helps improve road safety.
