As part of the study, the bank analyzed the statistics of some 600,000 of its own clients belonging to small and medium-sized companies. Among them were more than 10% of the zoomer generation (aged 15 to 26). At the same time, zoomers are almost 3 times more likely to do business on the markets than other entrepreneurs: 32.95% (share of zoomers) versus 13.3% (other age groups).
Young entrepreneurs earn on average two times less than representatives of other age groups, and those who trade in the markets even have an average income 4-5 times less than those in other areas of business.
“Zoomers, due to their limited experience, have not yet had time to gain customers’ trust, so it may be difficult for them to sell their products or services,” the study’s authors note. In his opinion, the psychological characteristics of generation Z can influence the business activities of the younger generation: zoomers do not work too much, value the balance between personal and work life and do not stick to a single field of activity.
The second place in popularity among Zoom users was taken by construction and repair (9% of customers), the third by IT and development (8%). The top 5 also includes transport and courier (7%), another 4% of entrepreneurs are engaged in business in the field of advertising and promotion, catering and hospitality, and real estate rental.
Geographically, the largest number of zoomer entrepreneurs is in Dagestan (almost 20%), a little less in the Chechen Republic (19.05%) and Ingushetia (18.2%). Banking analysts linked the high proportion of entrepreneurs in Dagestan with the operation of a preferential tax system in the region with the possibility of an indefinite transition to the simplified tax system at a rate of 1%.
In addition, a significant number of young entrepreneurs live in the Astrakhan region (16.11%), Kalmykia (15.95%), Mordovia (15.22%), Orenburg region (15.09%), Karachay Republic -Cherkess (14.97%) and Bryansk region (14.83%). %).
Previously, the Wildberries market published a study according to which the turnover of 27% of Wildberries sellers exceeds 500 thousand rubles per month, and 6% reaches 50 million rubles. The average age of the company’s saleswomen was 39 years old.
