Private clinics that provide dental services also expect revenue growth. Belgravia Dental predicts a year-on-year revenue increase by the end of 2024 of 21%, 20% in the Medsi group and 19% in the “Be Healthy” group.
The volume of the money market grew mainly due to the increase in the average bill – by 13.9% to 7.9 thousand rubles, DentalData analysts noted. According to them, control has increased due to the increase in the price of imported equipment and the increase in logistics costs.
Representatives of the clinics objected that the reason for the increase in the average bill is a change in demand in favor of more expensive services. Medical director of the Belgravia Dental network, Svyatoslav Koba, noted that aesthetic treatment is losing popularity and, on the contrary, interest is growing in restoring lost teeth through implantation or restoration with ceramic structures.
Larisa Popovich, director of the Institute of Health Economics of the Higher School of Economics of the National Research University, stated that the increase in the turnover of dental clinics is due to inflationary processes and the forced increase in doctors’ salaries. . Implementation services are a niche and cannot act as an engine of market growth, the expert highlighted.
The day before, Izvestia reported that Roszdravnadzor, Rospotrebnadzor and public organizations had begun to develop a rating system for private clinics based on the quality and safety of the services provided. The corresponding initiative was developed within the framework of a round table in the Federation Council dedicated to the protection of the rights of consumers of medical services.
