Scientists of Trans -Baikal State University are planning to test the air quality system that monitors Geo -Conoror in the mining enterprises of the region. It will help companies monitor air pollution in real time, which is important for career work where dust and harmful substances in the air occur due to explosive work and heavy traffic. The system will quickly define the increasing dust concentrations and control the direction of the distribution.
“Geo-EcoSenor” consists of a laser sensor network that connects to cloud service through Wi-Fi and analyzes the concentration of small disintegrated particles in the air. This will not only help to measure the pollution level, but will also monitor the movement and smoke of the dust. In the case of a dangerous situation, system employees will in advance the need to use respiratory protection or abandon the danger zone. In addition, sensors can be used to detect fire foci, especially in businesses, which are important for timely localization.
The test of the system in Chita was successful, where approximately 20 sensors developed by the university teachers and students were established. These devices, which are produced in a 3D printer, collect data in real time and transmit to cloud service where information is displayed on an interactive map. The project has received positive investigations from the Ministry of Natural Resources and a number of mining enterprises. In the future, scientists plan to publish special sensors for various organizations and municipalities.
