Many states express their desire to attract the NASA headquarters, but a possible movement can be a difficult task. “In particular, Donald Trump requested NASA headquarters from Washington to Johnson Space Center in Houston by members of the Texas Congress.

In a letter to the President, Texas representatives claim that such an attempt will help NASA return to research goals and provide a more effective leadership. However, the state of Florida is also interested in the agency’s office. Trump also sent a letter about the transfer of the headquarters to Kennedy Space Center and proposed to transfer the headquarters to Glenn Research Center.

As mentioned, the interest in NASA’s “movement” is due to the approach of the lease agreement for the current headquarters building in Washington, which ended in 2028. The agency has already started to search for alternative buildings, but the choice is in the Washington area.
