As it is understood, these are modified graphics cards collected from the components extracted from other GPUs. Some are completely sold without graphic chips – just cases and fees.
NVIDIA does not release the RTX 5090 in its “blower style” performance due to very high TDP. However, for servers, the turbine and 300 watt heat emissions RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell has been announced – not on sale yet.
This was what scammers took advantage of it: Cards, which are marked by the RTX 5090D, were usually fake collected again without memory and GPU.
Such cards are in demand for server clusters where compact cooling is required, but they are actually replaced for AI-Fabric or Crypto-Feom. Nvidia has not yet reacted.
Players carry the risk of deception instead of a graphics card and buying a “naked” case. The situation can only worse if the control does not intensify.
