Experts used data from the UK Biobank to do a new scientific study. A total of 274,541 employees were included in the study. At the same time, 5.3% had asthma and the moderate or severe form was 1.9%.

The analysis has shown that women working in shifts in general are more prone to the development of asthma. It was about 50% more likely to suffer from medium or heavy asthma compared to women working only during the day.
