The project, which was created with the participation of Niau Mephi and Samara University students, has already passed the Rosatoma accelerator and became the award -winning of the National Technological Olympic Torch. According to the leader of the project Anastasia Popova, the system is so simple that even beginners will dominate the basic control of a drone in just 10 -minute training in the simulator.
The gloves are equipped with gyroscopes, accelerations and magnetometers that monitor the position of the hand and subsequently transmit the signals to the controller and then drone. Although the main use of SkyControl is associated with drones, developers say that the system can also be adapted to other devices: ground robots, cameras and even smartphones.
The first glove group is planned to go to training centers in the autumn of 2025.
