In general, the majority (57.6%) evaluates medical artificial intelligence in a positive way. Men were a little more optimistic than women. Those who meet technologies well are more likely to trust AI: 83.3%of “experts” responded positively, and almost 38%of those who do not know about AI.
Interestingly, serious patient patients are much more skeptical. More than one quarter of them expressed a very negative attitude towards medical artificial intelligence, while these answers were rare among healthy answers.
Interestingly, parallel patients want AI to only help doctors and not replace them. Therefore, 68% supported the use of AI for the “Second Opinion ,, 59% for the analysis of pictures and 55% for cancer diagnosis. And only 4.4% accepts a diagnosis by exclusive AI.
It is particularly important for patients: 70% of them want to see exactly how the system results, even if it reduces accuracy.
