Electronics continue to be one of the most sensitive categories. Here, most buyers are not limited to the first bid. Almost 8 out of 10 people double the cost of smartphones, laptops, TVs or home appliances in several stores before making a purchase decision.
The main reason for the comparison is the search for benefit. More than half (53%) of the participants focused on the size of reductions in ruble or percentage. And higher income users examine different options than others and pay more attention to details when choosing.
An important vehicle remains to sort goods at prices – used by 63% of customers. However, the last election is less and less dependent on numbers. “Best Price” signs, significant discounts and visual tips are increasingly affected and social signals become a decisive factor. Investigations, ratings and signs inspire the trust of 88% of customers with higher price.
Half of the participants have their own “price turning point .. Even if the goods are purchased for the first time, people imagine how much it should be roughly. In the case of technology, 69% of these expectations coincides with a reality: the real amount of the purchase process emerged as recipients suggested.
Thus, when choosing electronics, the price continues to be a starting point. However, the modern purchasing model consists of a combination of factors: sufficient cost, transparent discount and trust in the seller.
The study was held in July 2025 between the age of 18-55 and the Russian aged 1575, and for the last six months, he bought goods for houses, electronics or goods for repair and garden.
