Mercedes-Benz has estimated the economic losses after the suspension of supplies to Russia at 1.4 billion euros. This is stated in the group’s report for the second quarter. In the first quarter, the company also calculated losses, then they amounted to 709 million euros.

According to data from the Mercedes-Benz report for the second financial quarter, the group’s revenue decreased by 13.6% year-on-year to 3.1 billion euros. Half-year revenue fell more significantly: 16% to 6.6 billion euros.

Separately, the report refers to the losses suffered by Mercedes-Benz due to the suspension of deliveries to Russia. The group’s total losses amounted to 1.4 billion euros.

In the first financial quarter, which ended in March, the company also calculated losses from the suspension of work in Russia and estimated them at 709 million euros.

Mercedes-Benz has not been delivering cars to Russia since March. In July, word emerged of the company’s possible plans to sell its dealer property to one of the dealers.

In June, a group of Russians filed lawsuits against Mercedes-Benz to resume car deliveries.
