Huawei tested its new foldable smartphone yesterday on Weibo: Huawei Mate Xs 2. The device will be announced next week (April 28) and will have a similar design to its predecessor (Xs) with the screen outside after being folded. .
The design is a bit of a standout, as Huawei opted for an inward-folding screen with its previous foldable smartphone, the Mate X2. This design is generally considered ‘safer’ because when the screen is folded it is inside. On the other hand, since the phone could not be used without turning it on, Huawei had to provide that model with a second screen from the outside.
Features and prices have not yet been announced. With the original Mate Xs and X2, the asking price was around 2500 euros, so the Xs 2 is expected to launch around this price as well.
