On February 1 of next year, the Central Bank’s (BC) Registration system will change. Access to the citizen’s financial data consultation platform will be made using the registration in Portal Gov.br.

Registration allows citizens to obtain information about their Pix keys, accounts, clearing transactions, returned checks and debts with banks and public institutions for free. You can also check if the CPF is being used by someone else.

Users have about five months until the transition. According to a circular issued Wednesday 14th, people who do not yet have a Gov.br registration have been given time by BC to create an entry.

The agency emphasized that most users prefer to use this account, even with other options. In numbers, 97% of accesses to “Fale Conosco” were single-entry. Digital Protocol received 94% of the visitors in the same way, and 82% of the users who entered the Electronic Declaration Record – Foreign Direct Investment.

Gov.br account

Gov.br account can be created via website or app. Just click “sign in with gov.br” and click the “create gov.br account” button. Next, enter the CPF and follow the instructions to create the account.

Registration is free and fast. For example, INSS provides access to various government digital services such as digital work card and unemployment insurance. Some services require silver and gold-level security with facial recognition.
