At the beginning of the year, Google announced that the Pixel Buds Pro will have a few additional features before the end of 2022. One of these features, Spatial Audio, was even announced in Android 13 QPR1 Beta.

Version 1.0.474476083, a new update for the Pixel Buds app, started rolling out on the Play Store today and showed a lot of references to the upcoming equalizer feature. As promised at the beginning, you will only be able to adjust five different sound ranges – “Low Bass”, “Low”, “Mid”, “Treble” and “Treble”.

Unlike the traditional EQ layout, where the bands are usually arranged horizontally with vertical sliders, Pixel Buds Pro EQ will have five horizontal sliders. If you don’t want to play around with every single setting, you can choose from seven different presets:

  • Balanced

  • Definition

  • Default

  • powerful bass

  • Last Saved

  • light bass

  • vocal enhancement

In addition, the Pixel Buds application is preparing to offer a volume balance slider for each ear.
