If a person slept less than seven to nine hours, but this sleep turned out to be of high quality, this compensates for the insufficient sleep time. Said study involved people who had just entered the military. They were followed for 12 weeks. It turned out that the soldiers slept less than two hours a day before the army.
Although sleep time has decreased, people said they still slept well. However, those who reported limiting sleep during the day were almost three times more likely to have a respiratory infection.
