Apple moved most of its growing employees to Kyrgyzstan, Vedomosti’s source at a major industry association said.

The current head of Apple’s government affairs, Nazim Turdumambetov, is from this country. He previously held a similar position at Philips.

Active work to prepare for the move to Kyrgyzstan began in the spring of 2022.

Part of Apple employees left for Dubai and London. But these destinations are less popular for ordinary workers due to high relocation costs.

Previously, Google also took out employees from Russia. The company has experienced moving to Dubai, but many are reluctant to leave due to climate and distance. [Ведомости]
