Scientists have studied very short bursts of activity. This is, for example, running behind the bus or playing with the children. The researchers found that just three to four minutes of blasting each day was associated with a 40 percent reduction in all-cause mortality.

The scientists also found that about 89% of all participants had such bursts of activity.
