Scientists from Linköping University have discovered how long-term stress can affect the occurrence of a heart attack in a person. In other words, experts wanted to find out if levels of the stress hormone cortisol play a role in heart attacks.

The results of the research were published in Scientific Reports.

Indeed, it turned out that the level of stress hormone is different in people who have had a heart attack and in healthy people. This means that this hormone can be a marker of a heart attack.

Many heart attack survivors are right in front of it. was under stress. This was demonstrated by an analysis of data from 174 men and women hospitalized in clinics.
